Daddy Freeze Criticizes Industry Over Make-up Artist's Burial

Nollywood producer Adanma Luke has reportedly surrendered herself to the Anambra State Police Command in connection with the tragic death of actor Junior Pope in a boat mishap.

According to reports, Adanma was the movie producer in which Junior Pope was featured before the untimely incident occurred in the Anam River, along with four crew members.

Confirming her surrender, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the state command spokesperson, disclosed that Adanma voluntarily turned herself in on Thursday, April 11, and provided a statement to the police. Additionally, two boat operators have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in police custody.

Assuring the public of transparency in the investigation, Ikenga stated that the movie’s other cast and crew members would be invited for questioning as part of the ongoing probe.

In a related development, Nigerian media personality Daddy Freeze has expressed dismay over the handling of the burial of make-up artist Abigail Fredrick, who was also involved in the boat accident.

Abigail’s body was recovered and laid to rest at a river bank in Anambra State after her family reportedly couldn’t afford the necessary traditional sacrifices to take her remains back home to Akwa Ibom.

Reacting to the news, Daddy Freeze questioned why Nollywood producers couldn’t raise sufficient funds to ensure that Abigail received a proper burial. His remarks shed light on the challenges faced by industry professionals and the need for better support systems within the Nollywood community.
