Distinguished Colleagues,

The North Central Zone of FIDA Nigeria recently convened a dynamic leadership training session to bolster leadership skills and enhance organisational effectiveness. Hosted collaboratively by our branch and FIDA Nigeria, the training brought together representatives from various state chapters on the 22nd of February, 2024.

The essence of this program was clear: to fortify the capabilities of our members in pursuit of FIDA’s noble mission, vision, and objectives. We were honoured to welcome esteemed dignitaries, including the Country Vice President, Mrs Amina Susana Agbaje, and key members of the FIDA Nigeria Executive, such as CVP Emerita Mrs Rhoda Tyoden, Chairperson FIDA Abuja, Chibuzo M. Nwosu, and other executive members.

The training started with an enlightening presentation on Leadership 101 delivered by the esteemed Past Chairperson of the FIDA Abuja Branch, Mrs. Roseline Obiagheli Nwosu. Participants delved into discussions on the characteristics and roles of effective leaders, followed by engaging breakout sessions exploring various leadership styles through role-playing exercises.

Furthermore, our moderator and Assistant National Publicity Secretary, Shaltha Nachammada, provided invaluable insights into crafting impactful reports, emphasizing clarity, accuracy, objectivity, brevity, and grammar as essential components.

A pivotal aspect of the training involved group work sessions where each branch assessed areas needing improvement and evaluated team dynamics, fostering introspection and growth within our respective organizations.

As the day concluded, participants came together for a group photo session, capturing the spirit of collaboration and unity that permeated the event.
