In a startling revelation, a petition penned by the late Nigerian artiste Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as MohBad, has surfaced online, shedding light on alleged threats to his life by music promoter Samson Erinfolami Balogun, also known as Sam Larry, and a group of associates.

The petition detailed a distressing incident in which Sam Larry and 15 others purportedly stormed a video shoot in which MohBad and fellow artiste Zlatan Ibile were involved. The individuals were reportedly armed and menacing, with the petition asserting that they proceeded to unleash havoc at the scene. According to the petition, equipment valued at over N5 million was destroyed during the chaos, and the late artiste narrowly escaped with injuries.

Unveiling MohBad’s Alarming Petition

Furthermore, the petition alleged that Sam Larry had asserted a connection to Oba Elegushi of Lagos State, heightening concerns about the nature and motive behind the threats and violence.

MohBad, a talent signed to Marlian Records, owned by the renowned singer Naira Marley, passed away on Tuesday, September 12.

Dated June 27, 2023, the petition read:

“PETITION OF THREAT TO LIFE, MALICIOUS DAMAGE OF PROPERTIES VALUED AT THE SUM OF FIVE MILLION NAIRA, ASSAULT OCCASIONING HARM, OPPRESSION, AND CONDUCT LIKELY TO CAUSE BREACH OF PEACE AGAINST SAM LARRY ELEGUSHI, ELELE, OBELE, AND OTHERS

I, the undersigned, a law-abiding citizen and musician, bring to your attention the assault and threat to my life by the abovementioned individuals.

A Disturbing Incident Unveiled

On June 25, 2023, while conducting a video shoot with another artist named Zlatan (Ibile), the individuals above, numbering about fifteen and led by Sam Larry Elegushi, invaded the premises armed with dangerous weapons such as guns and cutlasses. They disrupted the entire video shoot, damaged equipment valued at approximately Five Million Naira, and threatened my life. In the process, they became violent and assaulted me, resulting in injuries from which I narrowly escaped.

Attached to this petition are photographs documenting the incident. The total cost of the destroyed equipment used for the shoot amounted to Eight Million Naira (N8,000,000), which is non-refundable.

During the assault, the individuals boasted that they were acting on behalf of Oba Elegushi and claimed they had been instructed to deal with me for undisclosed reasons. To date, they continue to threaten my life if they encounter me. Sir, I urgently request your intervention to safeguard my life from these individuals and to bring them to justice.
