Governor Mbah has presented the collective demand of Southeast to President Bola Tinubu

Governor Peter Mbah has presented to President Bola Tinubu the collective demand of the southeast to release the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.

Briefing State House correspondents on the issue, the Governor said their demand was propelled by President Tinubu’s pronouncement that he would serve with compassion.

“He promised the people that he’s going to engender national healing, and he’s going to serve with compassion. So we’ve basically informed him that this would serve as a pointer to his administration’s extension of hands of fellowship to Ndigbo”, he said.

He said his visit was also to register their support for President Tinubu’s administration and get their people on the development path.

“We made massive campaign promises to the people of Enugu and have also expressed humongous vision. We’ve taken a bold view of what the new group could achieve in the next four years: growing our economy from the current levels to $30 billion.

And one of our core governance philosophies is to collaborate and to have a partnership, and we have identified the federal government as our core partner”, Governor Mbah said.

Governor Mbah said Enugu had several dominant assets, which they believe would transform into productive assets by partnering with the Federal Government.
