My victory was shortchanged by the APC: Victor Adoji 

The Kogi East Senatorial candidate under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in just concluded presidential and National Assembly elections, Mr Victor Adoji, had expressed his sincere gratitude to the good people of his constituency who came out en mass to vote for him before his win was denied by the opposition.

In a statement by one of his Media aids, Prince Seidu Adamu, “Caron boy”, faulted the outcome of the election, which according to him, was characterized by a lot of malpractices, lack of transparency and credibility. The Statement also alleged that electoral umpires compromised the process by not keeping to their promises to conduct free, fair and credible elections.

Mr. Adoji, while urging his supporters to remain calm and peaceful, assuring them of reclaiming his stolen mandates by the All Progressive Congress, APC in the State, noted that all the evidence backed up his claim through legal means was intact.

According to the Statement, “the fraudulent manipulations of the electoral process and invasion of numerous polling units by armed thugs of the APC in connivance with the electoral officials and security agents will not stand.

The Statement maintains that the APC thugs, who were armed with dangerous weapons, roamed frey unchecked and invaded various polling units majorly across six LGAs in Kogi East, caring electorates, destroying ballot boxes, and rating the BVAS, in some cases, along with sensitive electoral materials to unknown destinations to declare fictitious results in favour of the APC.

The Statement added that the future of Kogi eEastand b,y extension and Nigeria at large is more significant than individual or partisan interest, hence the need for every individual to continue respecting the rule of law, including Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state.
