The lawyer allegedly kills her husband after he discovers their 19-year-old domestic worker is her biological son.
A 36-year-old lawyer, Abasiesebanga Ikoiwak, has been arrested concerning the death of her 41-year-old husband, Barrister Godwin Ikoiwak, in Akwa Ibom State.
She was recently arraigned in the Federal High Court in Uyo and five other defendants for her husband’s untimely death.
The prosecution witness who testified before the court claimed that the late Barrister was unaware that the boy living in his home for years was actually his wife’s son because she had argued that the boy was her younger brother.
The deceased’s friend, Barrister Sunny Anyanwu, who also testified in court, said Ikoiwak passed away shortly after telling him over the phone that he was having issues with his wife over infidelity.
Anyanwu added that the deceased reported the case to his wife’s family, who invited him to a meeting in their family compound in Nung Udoe Itak, Ikono LGA, but he did not return alive.
