NBA FCT Branch Chairmen Strategize with President Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau on Member Welfare and Collaborative Initiatives

In a bid to articulate the sentiments and expectations of lawyers in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the Chairmen of the five NBA Branches in the FCT engaged in a strategic meeting with NBA President, Mr. Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, OON, SAN, at the NBA House on January 18, 2024.

The meeting proved to be a platform for substantial discussions, concrete resolutions, and the exchange of vital information, where the Chairmen gained insights into the President’s impactful initiatives concerning members’ welfare and overall wellness.

Present at this significant meeting were Afam Okeke of the NBA Abuja Branch, Emmanuel Tayo Ogunjide of the NBA Gwagwalada Branch, Paul Daudu of the NBA Bwari, Augustine Ibolo of the NBA Nyanya/Karu, and Obioma Ezenwobodo of the NBA Garki Branch.

Expressing appreciation on behalf of his fellow Chairmen, Mr. Afam Okeke, the Chairman of the NBA Abuja Branch, lauded the President for his remarkable initiatives and unwavering commitment to advancing the legal profession.

The interactive session saw all chairmen actively participating, providing relevant insights and contributions on behalf of their respective branches. President Maikyau, known for his member-oriented approach, praised the Chairmen for their focused leadership and shared achievements, assuring them of upcoming plans and programs from the administration.

Recognizing the immense support from members, the President, in collaboration with the Chairmen, resolved to host a groundbreaking ‘PNBA Bar Day’ in the FCT within the next two months—a testament to the administration’s responsiveness and collaborative synergy for effective leadership and enduring solutions.
