NBA-YLF NATIONAL SUMMIT 2024: STATEMENT BY THE NBA-YLF CHAIRMAN, A. T. ABOKI.
Dear Young Lawyers,
I’m thrilled to personally update you on the upcoming NBA-YLF National Summit 2024, as reported on various online news platforms and social media. I eagerly anticipate meeting and engaging with you during the summit scheduled for the 17th and 18th of January 2024 in Abuja.
Since the inception of our council, the idea of a national summit for young lawyers has been a central focus. As legal professionals committed to guiding our society, we must lead discussions on transitioning from traditional leadership styles in governance and advocacy.
The Council members, alongside the Summit Planning Committee, have dedicated significant efforts to ensure the smooth execution of the Summit. We are honoured to have Y. C. Maikyau, SAN, the NBA President, as our Chief Host and Tein T. S. Jack-Rich, founder of Belemaoil Producing Limited, as the distinguished Chairman.

We have secured an impressive lineup of intellectually sound speakers and guests who will share insights and guide our discussions. The Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has graciously accepted the invitation to deliver the keynote address on the theme of the Summit: “BREAKING THE OLD ORDER OF GOVERNANCE AND ADVOCACY.” Numerous other distinguished figures will join us in courageous conversations on various aspects of youth inclusivity.
Beyond formalities, I highlight the exciting gala and award session to conclude the summit. It’s an opportunity for us to unwind, network, and forge new connections as we work together to usher in a new era of governance and advocacy.
