NBA-ICLE Secures Exclusive Oil & Gas Academy Training: Empowering Lawyers in the South-South Zone”
We are thrilled to announce that, in collaboration with the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), the NBA Institute of Continuing Legal Education (NBA-ICLE) has successfully secured a fully funded Oil & Gas and Energy Transition Academy hybrid training for 1,000 lawyers in the South-South zone of Nigeria.
This transformative training, sponsored by the NCDMB, will be conducted by the esteemed Energy Law and Policy Faculty of the NBA-ICLE and will take place in Bayelsa State during the 1st quarter of 2024.

This milestone achievement results from extensive negotiations and collaboration between the NCDMB and the NBA-ICLE Board. The NCDMB has committed to covering all expenses related to the training, including facilitator honoraria, transportation, and accommodation for delegates. Importantly, this hybrid training is just the beginning, with plans to extend similar opportunities to cover all six geopolitical zones in Nigeria.

It’s essential to note that this initiative is part of ongoing efforts to secure fully funded local and international career development opportunities for NBA members. We anticipate unveiling modalities for applying to fully funded local and international work placements, secondment opportunities, and mentorship programs in the upcoming months.
