Minna: Security Chiefs Summoned.

Heads of security agencies in Niger state have been summoned to appear before the State House of Assembly today(Wednesday) to explain the increase in attacks by bandits in some parts of the state.

The Speaker Niger State House Of Assembly, Barrister Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji, stated this while interacting with Newsmen after the inauguration of the tenth Assembly in Minna.

Barrister Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji explained that members of the tenth Assembly in Niger state are worried about the unwanted killings and destruction of properties and are ready to support and encourage any move targeted at ending cases of banditry in the state.

Recently, bandits have threatened to sack the entire people of Pandogari in the Rafi local government council, coupled with repeated attacks in parts of the local government that led many villagers to flee their ancestral homes for fear of being abducted or killed.

Just yesterday, after the inauguration of members of Niger State House of Assembly in Minna, it was alleged that some unspecified number of people who came from Mariga to share the joy with the new Speaker was abducted on their way back to Bangi road headquarters of Mariga local government.

Bandits Kill And Abduct Many In Niger State.

The bandits were also said to have set ablaze half of Ukuru village in Mariga local government council after killing one person and abducting some travellers.

They also killed many people in Kontagora and Mashegu local government councils in addition to the abduction of many to their hideouts, a situation that called for concerted efforts by all to succeed.
