Truncate The Election and pay dearly for it: Police
The Force PRO said that the police have deployed “state of the art” equipment to suppress unrest anywhere.
The Nigerian Police Force has encouraged people to come out en masse to vote in the
presidential and National Assembly polls on Saturday, saying their security is guaranteed.
The Nigeria Police say anyone or group that attempts to truncate the presidential and National.
Assembly Election will pay dearly for it.

The Deputy Inspector General of Police in Charge of South East Zone, Mr John Amadi, stated this
while briefing journalists at the Police Command Headquarters in Amawbia, in Awka South local
government area.
He said security agencies in the zone were ready for the exercise. They will not tolerate anyone
wanting to disrupt the Election in the area under any guise.
Come out and vote in the polls on Saturday; our security is guaranteed.
DIG Amadi said he had visited all the commands in the zone to ascertain their level of
preparedness confirmed that they were ready to work with other security agencies to ensure
the Election was peaceful and prosperous.
He noted that the South East Zone remains part of the Nigerian government and that no element
will claim the authority to say elections will not hold in the area.

The Deputy Inspector of Police, therefore, encouraged the people not to be afraid but to come out and exercise their franchise as adequate provisions had been made to guarantee their safety during and after the Election.
He also charged the Strategic Commanders and officers deployed for the Election to discharge their duties professionally and remain civil in their dealings with the public, especially the electorate.
The DIG also urged them to be alert and vigilant to prevent untold incidents or unforeseen developments.
