According to reports from Daily Trust, Namang had left home to attend a burial in Pankshin when he was ambushed and shot outside his hotel room by hoodlums around 7:30 am.

An APC official, speaking anonymously, confirmed the incident, stating that Namang succumbed to injuries sustained in the attack. Described as a dependable ally deeply committed to the development of the APC at grassroots and state levels, Namang’s death has sent shockwaves through the party, prompting plans for an official statement regarding the circumstances surrounding his demise.
