Nigeria Police Force Commence Recruitment for Constables and Specialists

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has initiated the recruitment process for constables and specialists, signalling a vital opportunity for aspiring candidates to join the esteemed law enforcement institution. The Police Service Commission (PSC) officially announced the commencement of the recruitment exercise, opening an online application portal from October 15 to November 26, 2023, providing a six-week window for interested individuals to apply.

Specialized fields for recruitment include roles such as medical assistant, veterinary assistant, band section, communications and info-tech specialists, along with positions for drivers, mechanics, marines, plumbers, masons, painters, tilers, electricians, welders, and carpenters.

How To Apply: Interested candidates must meet specific criteria, including Nigerian nationality by birth, possession of the National Identification Number (NIN), and a minimum of five credits in not more than two sittings in WAEC/NECO or their equivalent, with credit passes in both English and Mathematics.

Applicants must be between 18 and 25, medically, physically, and psychologically fit, and meet the height requirements of 1.67m for males and 1.64m for females. Male applicants must also have a minimum of 86cm (34 inches) expanded chest measurements, while female applicants must not be pregnant during the recruitment process.

It is essential to note that SSCE statements of results or certificates preceding 2015 will not be considered, and candidates must have a clean financial record with no history of criminal conviction.

Candidates applying to specialized fields require a minimum of four credits in not more than two sittings in WASSCE/SSCE or their equivalent, with credit passes in English and Mathematics. Additionally, medical and veterinary assistants must possess a minimum of five credits in not more than two sittings in WASSCE/SSCE or their equivalent, including English and Mathematics, with relevant certification providing an added advantage.

Prospective candidates in the 18-28 age range can access the online application form through the official recruitment portal at www.apply.policerecruitment.gov.ng. The Nigeria Police Force encourages all eligible applicants to take advantage of this opportunity and apply within the designated timeframe.
