The African Union chief, Moussa Faki Mahamat, unequivocally labelled Israel’s actions as a “war crime,” emphasizing the imperative for immediate international intervention to address the crisis.

Doctors Without Borders (MSF), a prominent medical humanitarian organization, expressed deep dismay and horror over the bombing of the hospital, condemning the act as a “massacre.” Dr Ghassan Abu Sittah, an MSF doctor in Gaza, articulated the collective shock and grief felt within the medical community at the loss of life and the destruction of a critical healthcare facility.

The Egyptian government issued a stern statement denouncing the attack, labelling it a flagrant violation of international law. President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi emphasized the need for immediate international intervention to prevent further violations and underscored the importance of protecting civilian lives in conflict zones.

High-ranking officials from the European Union, including High Representative Josep Borrell and President of the European Council Charles Michel, expressed deep regret over the tragic incident, highlighting the necessity of establishing accountability and ensuring that the perpetrators are held responsible for their actions.

French President Emmanuel Macron emphasized safeguarding civilian lives and called for immediate humanitarian access to Gaza. President of Finland Sauli Niinisto condemned the attacks on civilians, highlighting the importance of upholding international humanitarian law and the necessity for a thorough investigation into potential violations.
