NBA-AGC FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH UPDATES.
The Nigerian Bar Association, as part of its 2023 annual general conference in collaboration with Moses Lake, Washington State and The Kebbi State government, is organising a Free Medical outreach with the Nisa Garki Hospital Abuja.
The Medical outreach still offers free medical treatment for a list of medical conditions the health mission can accommodate.
As of today, Friday, September 1st 2023, over a thousand six hundred patients, including twenty-five major successful life-transforming surgeries and hundreds of consultations, have been carried out.
The Medical outreach was declared open by the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mr Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau OON, SAN, at the commencement of the Conference.

The Medical team brought medications and equipment for surgeries worth over 250 million naira with over 35 medical personnel from the US and South America, led by consultants on diverse areas of Specialization at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.

On a visit to the medical outreach facilities at the NBA house and Garki Hospital, the first lady of Kebbi State, Her Excellency Hajiya Nafisa Idris, accompanied by the NBA president and the Medical Director of the Garki Hospital, Dr. Adamu Onu, showed insight into remarkable medical work undertaken by the outreach.
The medical conditions already successfully handled by the medical outreach team for free include Hernia, Breast mass/lump, etc. Appendix, Lipoma, Cleft Lips (deformity of the lips), Goitre, Cataract, Glaucoma, Skin Keloid, Hypospadias, Hole in the heart, Congenital Talipes Equinovarus deformation, Arthritis, Back pain, Trigger Finger, Bone infection,
Obstetrics and gynaecology, Dental, Ear, Nose and Throat cases.
Drugs were also dispensed to those with hypertension and other cardiac cases.
