Yusuf, who lives in the Tukuntawa Quarters area of the state, was charged with theft worth N8, 500.
According to the prosecution, Inspector Abdullahi Wada, the defendant reportedly entered into the complainant’s stand and stole the cow skin.
After he pleaded guilty to the offence, the Judge, Umar Lawal-Abubakar, ordered that the defendant be remanded in a correctional centre.
He then adjourned the matter until August 22 for summary trial.
Earlier, Wada told the court that the complainant, Fatihu Auwal, who also resides in Tukuntawa Quarters, reported the matter at the Fagge Police Station, Kano on August 5.
