NBA Gwagwalada Partners Copyright Commission And World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO)On Capacity Building For Members.

The Gwagwalada Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (Eagle Bar) is set to train its members on Intellectual Property law and the opportunities available to legal practitioners.

This was contained in a press release signed by its chairman, Mr Emmanuel Tayo Ogunjide (ETO).

In the release, the Branch Chairman, Mr Ogunjide, stated that the programme is part of his administration’s flagship programmes lined up for building the capacity of the branch members in some areas of law targeted explicitly at opening new doors for them in their practice.
The programme is the first of its kind and highly reassuring.

Organised by the NBA Gwagwalada branch in collaboration with the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) and World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) under the Continuing Legal Education programmes of the unit.

Personalities expected to grace the occasion include the Director General of the Nigerian Copyright Commission, Dr John O. Asein, the Dean Faculty of Law, University of Abuja, Prof. M. A. Mohammed, the Dean of Faculty of Law, Veritas University, Abuja, Prof. Josephine A. A. Agbonika SAN, and other erudite figures in the field of Intellectual Property Law who will speak to some insightful topics like an overview of Copyright and Related Rights in Nigeria to be delivered by Mr Collins Nweke, the Director, Nigeria Copyright Academy. NCC.

The programme holds Tuesday, the 8th day of August 2023, at the Faculty of Law, Permanent Site, University of Abuja.
