Good evening Distinguished Colleagues,

In furtherance of the objective of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) to promote and protect the principles of the rule of law and respect for fundamental rights, human rights, and people’s rights, the NBA President,

Mr Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, OON, SAN, has reconstituted, subject to ratification by the National Executive Council, the Board of the Nigerian Bar Association-Human Rights Institute (NBA-HRI). The Board is to be chaired by Mr Chinonye Obiagwu, SAN.

NOTICE OF RECONSTITUTION OF THE NBA-HRI.

The NBA President has thanked the Board members for accepting to serve, even as he has urged them to be diligent and to employ their wealth of experience in human rights to strengthen the NBA’s position as the bastion of the human rights cause in Nigeria.

Attached for your reference is the Notice containing the names of the new Board members of the NBA-HRI.
