Three Suspects Arrested Over The Murder Of Imo Businessman.

Imo State Police Command said it has arrested three suspected kidnappers allegedly involved in the murder of one Ikechukwu Ebelebe, a businessman from Imo State.

The suspects, Chinedu Christian Ejezie, aged 40 (aka Holy Condom); Okechukwu Ibemere, male, aged 26; and Emmanuel Ubah, 33, were said to have different SIM Cards used by them to negotiate and collect ransom from their victims.

Ikechukwu, according to reports, was abducted a month ago at his hometown in Owerre-Akokwa in Ideato-South LGA of the state.

Mohammed Barde, the Imo state Commissioner of Police, in a release signed by the Command’s spokesman, Henry Okoye, said the slain businessman was abducted on April 13, 2023, and robbed of his Toyota RAV4 SUV Jeep in front of his residence.

He said: “After his family had paid a whopping sum of ten million nairas (N10, 000, 000, 00), they eventually killed him and dumped his corpse at Ajali River bank in Anambra State.

“Through credible, intelligent gathering, one Chinedu Christian Ejezie and Okechukwu Ibemere, both of Owerre-Akokwa in Ideato-North LGA of Imo State, who was arrested at Ebute- Ero Market in Idumota, Lagos State confessed to the crime which led to the subsequent arrest of their gang member, Emmanuel Ubah.”
