Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Mr Sunday Babaji, says the election is going smoothly

across the state. He stated this while speaking with newsmen shortly after observing the voting

process at Unguwan Sarki polling unit 024.

According to Babaji, voting had commenced in all the polling units he visited,d and the voting

process went smoothly. He explained that in the report he received from Birning Gwari and Giwa

local governments, the election was going fine. However, he urged residents of Kaduna State to come out

en mass to vote for candidates of their choice without fear or intimidation. He said security

agencies are on the ground to ensure peaceful elections across the state.

Mr Babaji Commended the people of Kaduna state for complying with the restriction

movement. The commissioner, who went around many places in Kaduna to observe the

the ongoing election process expressed satisfaction with how people conducted themselves,

particularly at the polling units.
