In a startling incident, the Police in Borno State have detained two individuals, identified as Kaka Umar and Khadija Adam, for engaging in sexual activity within the premises of the All Denominations Church (ADC) at the Police College in Maiduguri. The arrests, facilitated by a security personnel assigned to the church, occurred around 11:40 a.m.
Reverend Danjuma Adamu, who oversees the church, provided critical information to the Police Investigation Team, affirming that the apprehended couple was discovered in the midst of their actions inside the church. Shockingly, it was revealed that Khadija admitted to receiving payment of N1,000 from Kaka for their brief liaison after the incident.
As the investigation progresses, the two suspects are scrutinised at the Metro police station. Subsequently, the case will be forwarded to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and potential prosecution.

In a separate incident, tragedy struck as suspected fighters from the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) launched a deadly assault on a police station in Gajiram town, Nganzai Local Government Area of Borno State. The brazen attack claimed the lives of four policemen, with the assailants seizing a significant cache of ammunition after partially setting the station ablaze.
Despite efforts by the military to intervene, the ISWAP fighters managed to evade capture, leaving behind a scene of devastation and grief in Gajiram town.
