Peter Obi Visits Kano Over Bello Maitama’s Death.

The recent passing of the former Minister of Internal Affairs, Senator Bello Yusuf Maitama, has drawn the attention of Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP). In a statement shared on his verified X handle, Obi expressed his condolences and visited Kano State to commiserate with the family of the respected elder statesman who significantly contributed to the nation’s development.

Obi highlighted that the late Maitama was a distinguished figure in Nigerian politics and the Father-in-Law to the LP Vice Presidential candidate, Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed. During his visit, Obi extended his sympathies to the Emir of Kano, His Majesty Aminu Ado Bayero, and the Emir of Bichi, His Royal Highness Nasiru Ado Bayero, in addition to all Nigerians affected by the loss of the esteemed statesman.
