National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Deputy Director Passes Away

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is grieving the loss of one of its esteemed members, the Deputy Director of the Department of Special Duties, Sanusi Ado, who passed away on Sunday night in Kaduna following a brief illness. The official statement released on Monday, October 23, via NEMA’s official handle, confirmed the heartbreaking news.

The statement expressed, “The National Emergency Management Agency was thrown into mourning following the death of a Deputy Director, Mallam Sanusi Ado. He died Sunday night in Kaduna after a brief illness.

The late Sanusi Ado was a Deputy Director in the Department of Special Duties. He has also served in various other departments and capacities as Deputy Director, Relief and Rehabilitation, Deputy Director, Human Resources Management, and Head of NEMA Kano Territorial Office.”

The sudden demise of Mallam Sanusi Ado came as a shock to the staff, who are deeply saddened by the loss and have offered their prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul.

NEMA Director General Mustapha Ahmed extended heartfelt condolences to the deceased’s family, describing the news of the Deputy Director’s passing as profoundly saddening. Speaking on behalf of the agency’s management and staff, Ahmed offered prayers for the eternal rest of the late Sanusi’s soul.

In line with Islamic customs, the funeral rites were conducted in Kaduna on Monday, 23rd October 2023, and the remains of the late Sanusi Ado were laid to rest.

The NEMA community mourns the loss of a dedicated and valued colleague, remembering Sanusi Ado for his significant contributions and unwavering commitment to the agency’s mission.
