His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Saad Abubakar, has declared today, Monday, June 19th 2023, the first day of Zulhajj 1444 after the hijra.

In a statement signed by the chairman advisory committee on Religion affairs, Sultanate Council Sokoto state, Pro. Sambo Wali Junaidu says June 28th 2023, equivalent to the Islamic calendar 10th of Zulhajj, shall be the day of this year’s Edilkabir celebration.

The Sultan felicitates with the Nigerian Muslims and wishes them ALLAH guidance and blessings.

The Sultan also appealed to the Muslims to continue praying for peaceful coexistence for the country’s socio-security and economic development.
