Former Borno SSG Shuwa Laid to Rest.

Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima was among the dignitaries that attended the funeral prayer of the immediate past Borno State Secretary to the State Government, Usman Jidda Shuwa.

Other dignitaries present at the prayers include Governor Babagana Zulum and his Yobe state counterpart Mai Mala Buni, Senate President Ahmed Lawan, former Governor of Kebbi state Atiku Bagudu, APC Deputy National Chairman Senator Abubakar Kyari, National and state assembly members, Shehu of Borno Alhaji Abubakar Garbai Elkanemi, traditional rulers and other personalities.

The Chief Imam of Borno, Imam Laisu Ibrahim Ahmed, led the prayer.

Former Borno SSG Shuwa Laid to Rest.

The remains of the Late SSG were later laid to rest at Grange graveyard, where prayers were offered for the repose of his soul.

Late Usman Jidda died yesterday at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital at 65 after a brief illness.

He was appointed Secretary to the State Government on June 20 20, 2015, while his last official assignment was the inauguration of the second term of Governor Babagana Zulum on May 29.
