Abducted FGC Birnin Yauri Students Released

Four of the remaining eleven abducted Federal Government College Birnin Yauri students were Released by their abductors.

Speaking to a Radio Nigeria correspondent in Kebbi State by phone, the Chairman of the Abducted Students Parents Association, Salim Kaoje, said Hafsat Murtala, Fa’iza Ahmed, Bina Musa, and Rahama Abdullahi were those released this Saturday.

According to him, they’re released, followed by the contribution of funds by the Parents of the remaining Abducted students and the public.

“I can not disclose the amount given to the abductors before the release of the four students because we are trying to release the remaining seven”.

Kaoje explains that there is no intervention by the federal, state or local governments for the release of the students but only money contributed by their Parents and donations by the public.

He thanked those who contributed financially and with prayers to secure the release of the four students.

The Chairman appealed to the government at all levels to come in so that the remaining seven students would be released back to their parents.

Kaoje told Radio Nigeria that the released students were taken to the hospital for medical checks before they were united with their families.

Over two years ago, over ninety students of the federal government college Birnin Yauri were abducted,

and some were released after paying the ransom.
