LAGOS AJAH: Chukwudi Ofodile Stabbed After Voting.

Voting is still ongoing as the presence of the military has made particular tribes who claimed they were deprived of franchise later go to vote. Lots of security men were seen on their duty posts.

A call was made to the military to come to Sangotedo in Ajah and assist in ensuring peaceful voting.
Meanwhile, some of those who went voting because of the presence of the military got stabbed.

One Chukwudi Ofodile, 27 years old, said after voting, he turned, and a guy cut him with Matchete on the head while another stabbed him with a bottle.

Another, who gave his name as Ogochukwu Nnamdi, said the sister called him to come as the military were closed by on getting there, unknown gunmen whisked him away to a room. They wanted to slaughter him. When soldiers rushed to the house through information and carried him out, they thought he had a cut on the neck.

The officer, Major Bello of the 9 brigades, got stabbed in the hand when trying to rescue the victim with his men.

Some eyewitnesses thanked God for the military presence, saying the situation had been like this since morning.
