Governor Nasiru Elrufai of Kaduna State says he will devote the remaining few weeks in office to continue discharging his duties and to support the transition arrangements for the next government of the State.
A statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Communication, Mr. Muyiwa Adekeye, says with 69 days left to complete the eight-year mandate, Malam Nasiru El-Rufai conveyed his profound appreciation to the people of Kaduna for the privilege of service.
According to the statement, following the successful conclusion of the 2023 general elections, he also expressed his appreciation to the residents for the largely peaceful vital democratic exercise.
The statement explains that Malam Nasiru Elrufai further conveyed his appreciation to the people of the State for their votes to the APC, culminating in the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president-elect and the declaration of Senator Uba Sani as the governor-elect in the State.
It says the governor was optimistic that the results have created an atmosphere that enhances the country’s and Kaduna State’s progress.
Elrufai wished the leaders who have been re-elected or freshly elected in the 2023 election every success in accelerating the uplift of the country and improving the well-being and life chances of all people.
