Lagos Train Accident, Corps member laid to rest.

The remains of Miss Oreoluwa Aina, a 28-year-old National Youth Corps member involved in the The Lagos train accident last Thursday, have been laid to rest. Miss Aina was among the six victims confirmed dead by the state government.

The late corps member, serving with the Curriculum Services Department of the Lagos State Ministry of Education in Alausa, was buried at Atan cemetery in the Yaba Area of Lagos.

A delegation of the state government led by the Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, was present at the burial, and the State Coordinator of NYSC, Mrs Yetunde Baderinwa, among other deceased family members.

Mrs Adefisayo conveyed the heartfelt condolences of the state government and the people of the state and well-wishers to the families. She prayed to God to grant the departed souls eternal rest and the families’ fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

A passenger train crushed a Lagos State Government staff bus on its way from Ikotun en route to Alausa, the state secretariat, at the Shogunle area of the state last Thursday, with six deaths recorded.
