Raphael Usuomon, Promises To Stop Ticketing For Hawkers If Elected: Edo State

The Edo State House of Assembly candidate, representing Oredo East Constituency, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Barr. Raphael Usuomon has vowed to raise a bill that will stop ticketing for hawkers in Edo State if he wins the election.

Usuomon announced this today in Benin City during a tour to Ward 4 and 5 as part of his campaign mandate for the election, which is slated to hold on the 11th of March, 2023. He said there is no reason for the government to continue to subject individuals to untold difficulty through unwarranted ticketing.

Unnecessary Taxation On The Indigents

“Why should poor people selling sachet water, kola nut, akara and even the truck pusher in the street be paying for all kinds of tickets to generate revenue for the government. What do they benefit from the government? I think I can propose a bill at the hallow chamber of the Edo State House of Assembly to stop this unpleasing happening. I will ensure I do this within six months if elected”.

He vowed not to support any government that is anti-people. “I assure my people that I will deliver all my campaign promises to them. All unnecessary taxes will be abolished”.

He implored the people to give him all the support required to win the election. He added that he would not be an unthankful person that would not return to thank his supporters after winning the election.

Vote for The Presidential Candidate

He told the people that to make the election more uncomplicated, they should vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Asiwaju Tinubu. He expressed that his success at the poll would be more guaranteed.

Personalities in his entourage were APC state Secretay, Lawrence Okah, Rt. Hon. Uyi Igbe, Hon Johnson Elema, Oredo Local Government election candidate and Oredo APC party chairman, Osamudiamen Osarekhoe and his media team.
