Medical Doctor paraded for organ harvesting: Police
A former CMD of Kaiama general hospital, Kwara State, Dr Abass Adio Adeyemi, was arrested
by the state Police command for the alleged murder of his four potential clients.
Kwara state police command has paraded the apprehended Chief Medical Director (CMD) of
government-owned Dr Adeyemi over the alleged killing of four persons for organ harvesting.
Marching the 36- year-old suspect in Ilorin, the state Police commissioner, Paul Odama, said that
the command was closing in on other cartel members involved in the crime.

He said the suspected murderer allegedly sedated some of his victims; primarily women before he killed
them, adding that he killed and buried while he killed to harvest the organs of some other victims.
Odama also said that the suspect had allegedly killed one of his victims in Edo state before he killing
those in Kwara state.

According to him, while the command was searching for the Doctor, news filtered in that Edo State Police
The order had arrested Dr Abbas Adio Adeyemi concerning another killing case.
Odama said the command to get to the root of the serial murder case in Kwara state succeeded
in getting him released to the power to help in the investigation.

He noted that the suspect confessed to having killed Ifeoluwa by hitting her with an object on the head and
dumped the body at a bush in Alapa; he also admitted to having earlier sedated and caused the kidnap and
the killing of one Abubakar Malam Abubakar ‘Male’ and killing of one Nafisat Halidu’ female’, a casual worker at
General Hospital both in Kaiama and concealed her body in a trash can, filled the trash can with cement and
kept inside locked storage in the General Hospital Kaiama with the key in his procession.
He maintained that the suspect further confessed to having been lured into organ harvesting by a yet-to-be-
identified syndicate.
Odama said the suspect, Dr Adeyemi, will soon be charged in court.
