SOKOTO STATE INEC OFFICE TAKES DELIVERY OF ELECTION MATERIALS
The Independent National Electoral Commission, Sokoto State office has commenced the distribution of sensitive materials to all the local government headquarters in the state.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Sokoto has taken delivery of all sensitive
electoral materials from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Sokoto state for onward distribution to
all the 23 local government areas in the State.

In his address at the handing over of the materials by CBN, the Resident Electoral Commissioner,
Alhaji Dr Nura Ali said the items were made up of Ballot Papers for the Presidential, Senatorial
and House of Representatives Elections.
While fielding questions from Journalists, the INEC Commissioner said, “other items include the
Result Sheets, Collation Forms, Registration Area Collation Forms and Election Returning Forms.
The INEC Resident commissioner reaffirmed INEC’s readiness to conduct free and fair elections
in the State.
INEC distributes election materials as Buhari meets security.
Radio Nigeria reported that members of the European Union election observers who have been
in the State for the past few days were also present during the Handing Over Exercise.
