The Leadership of the Young Lawyers’ Forum (YLF), Yenagoa branch of the NBA, is pleased to announce an exciting lineup of programs for the year 2024. This comprehensive agenda aims to foster professional growth, community engagement, and camaraderie among our esteemed members.

1. 1st Quarter General Meeting and Inauguration:

Date: March 26, 2024
Highlights: Inauguration of New Wigs and Bar Practicing Fees Payment for Young Lawyers
Special Guests: Hon. Justice E.G Umukoro and NBA Yenagoa’s 5th Chairman, Senior Collins Bolleigha, Esq.

2. Seminar on Young Lawyers’ Expectations:

Date: May 30, 2024
Theme: “The Expectations on Young Lawyers; the Bar and Bench Perspective”
Participants: Senior lawyers, Judges, Magistrates, and Stakeholders
Format: Round table discussion on achieving balance in expectations between senior professionals and young lawyers.

3. School Tour – Sensitization on Societal Concerns:

Date: June 19, 2024
Venue: Various secondary schools

4. 2nd Quarter General Meeting and Law Pavilion Launch:

Date: June 20, 2024
Highlights: Launch of the YLF Yenagoa Law Pavilion

5. 3rd Quarter General Meeting and Brief/Essay Writing Competition Launch:

Date: September 17, 2024
Launch of the maiden edition of the YLF Yenagoa Brief/Essay writing competition.

6. 4th Quarter General Meeting, YLF Hangout, and Game Night:

Date: November 13, 2024
Followed by an exciting YLF Hangout and Game Night.

7. Thanksgiving Session:

Date: To be announced
A heartfelt session to express gratitude and mark the end of a fruitful year.
