Senior Aide To Katsina Governor Dies In Auto Crash
Shamsuddeen Malumfashi, a respected Senior Special Assistant on Islamic Education to Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State, tragically passed away on Tuesday afternoon in an auto crash. The incident occurred near the Rigachikun area in Kaduna State, leaving the community and government in mourning.
Following the heartbreaking news, a solemn funeral prayer and interment were held for the departed soul on the same day. The late Malumfashi was laid to rest at a cemetery behind Kwandala General Hospital in his hometown of Malumfashi.

Survived by his grieving parents, Abubakar Yusuf and Jamila, he leaves behind a legacy of dedication to his community and Islamic education. His loss is deeply felt by his three wives, four children, and a wide circle of friends, colleagues, and associates.
Governor Radda, deeply affected by the loss of his trusted aide, led the dignified ceremony alongside several prominent figures. Notable attendees included the member representing Malumfashi Constituency in the Katsina State House of Assembly, Aminu Ibrahim, and the Commissioner of Budget and Economic Planning, Bello Kagara. Their presence was a testament to the high regard in which Malumfashi was held within the corridors of power and the community at large.
The governor and his entourage were graciously received at the family residence of the deceased at Layin Yan Bori in Malumfashi. They were greeted by esteemed local figures, including the Galadiman Katsina, the District Head of Malumfashi, Sadik Mahuta, and the District Head of Mahuta, Bello Yan Mama. The presence of the father of the deceased and the Chairman of Malumfashi Local Government Area, Maharazu Dayi, added solemnity to the proceedings, emphasizing the profound loss experienced by the local community and the state at large.
Malumfashi’s untimely demise has left a void that will be difficult to fill, as his contributions to the promotion of Islamic education and his commitment to the betterment of society have left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of those he touched. The community mourns the loss of a dedicated and compassionate leader, and his memory will continue to be cherished for years.
