Atiku Abubakar Calls World Press Conference Amidst Questions About Tinubu's Academic Records

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has announced that he will hold a World Press Conference today, Thursday. Dele Momodu, one of Atiku’s campaign spokespersons, announced this Wednesday night.

While the exact reason for the press conference remains undisclosed, it is believed to be linked to the recent release of President Bola Tinubu’s academic records by Chicago State University (CSU).

Recalling recent events, Atiku requested these documents to support his forgery claims regarding Tinubu’s CSU certificate. It’s worth noting that the presidential election court dismissed allegations of forgery in Atiku’s legal challenge against Tinubu’s election victory.

However, Caleb Westberg, the registrar at Chicago State University, made a statement indicating that Tinubu’s certificate, dated June 22, 1979, and submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on June 17, 2022, was not issued by the university or its administrators. Westberg, who has held the registrar position since November 2020, further clarified that Tinubu neither applied for nor received a replacement certificate.

Atiku has remained silent despite the certificate issue making headlines over the past 48 hours.

In the wake of these developments, some organizations and individuals, particularly critics, have called for President Tinubu’s resignation.
