EXCLUSIVE: Tunji Bello, Oyetola, Others Make tinubu’s 2nd Ministerial List

A former Commissioner of Environment in Lagos State, Mr Tunji Bello, and the immediate-past Governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola, are among the second batch of Ministerial Nominees sent to the Senate by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday afternoon.

Legal Attorney blog was reliably informed that besides Bello and Oyetola, other ministerial nominees are on the latest list.

Our Correspondent reports that the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, had submitted the second list of Ministerial Nominees from President Tinubu to the Senate earlier on Wednesday.

Gbajabiamila submitted the second list of the nominees to Senate President Godswill Akpabio at about 03:19pm after being admitted into the Red Chamber.

Also, recall that Gbajabiamila had submitted the first list with 28 nominees to the Senate last Thursday, hinting that more names would be forwarded to the lawmakers for scrutiny.

The new list is expected to be unveiled by Senate President Akpabio at the tail end of Wednesday’s plenary devoted to screening the initial first batch of the nominees currently ongoing.

Meanwhile, before Tunji Bello’s coming as Lagos Commissioner, Lagos was overwhelmed by refuse. He evolved a strategy to rid Lagos of debris and implemented a sustainable system for waste management when President Tinubu was Governor of Lagos.

He conceived and implemented Green Lagos Initiative.

He evolved and implemented the flood management strategy for Lagos, which has helped mitigate the deleterious effects of Climate Change in Lagos as, Africa’s biggest megacity.

He helped fashion Lagos’s signage policy, thereby helping boost Lagos IGR.

As Environment Commissioner, he was part of the team that helped conceive and ensured the realisation of Eko Atlantic City.

A measure of his brilliance, capacity and competence is that he was a three-term Commissioner of the Environment in Lagos State.

A further testimony to his managerial acumen is that he was Secretary to State Government (SSG) under Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
