The theme of the conference resonates with the mood of the nation, especially at this time when it has dawned on well-meaning Nigerians that if we don’t get it right, we may never get another opportunity to restore the lost glory of a once great nation.

The theme speaks to the need to get it right in leadership selection, governance, essential civic responsibilities, professional engagements, holding leadership accountable, representing our country, and all we do. The conference agenda and intellectual engagements organized by the Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN-led Committee, will sufficiently stimulate discussions and actionable resolutions that can be matched with leadership commitment to getting it right as a nation and profession.

I will advise delegates to come prepared to contribute to the intellectual engagements flowing from the keynote speech and papers to be presented.
