The Edo State Police Command has successfully apprehended a man who brutally murdered his wife under unknown circumstances revealed only through his confession. The man was publicly Paraded at the State Police headquarters, where he is currently being interrogated by the police.

Before his arrest, the residents of Fugar in Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State came out in large numbers, urging the State Police Command to uncover the truth behind the death of their beloved daughter, Mrs Semilat Uwaya.

The woman’s tragic death has deeply saddened numerous individuals, particularly her family members, and has sparked significant reactions across the media. The woman was discovered lifeless in her room early in the morning, with her nipples severed and her body parts missing. Her body was subsequently taken to the mortuary, where it was deposited for further investigation by the police.

After several investigations, the police successfully apprehended the woman’s husband, who emerged as the primary suspect in her murder. According to reports, the couple married on March 17th of this year, and the crime occurred in April of the same year.

During police interrogations, the husband confessed to and accepted responsibility for the crime. He revealed to the police how his friends had enticed him to kill his wife and mutilate her by cutting off her nipples and breasts for money rituals. He expressed remorse for his actions after carrying out the heinous act.
