About Ten Braille Quran have been donated to schools in Kwara state to support visually impaired students in teaching and learning.
Speaking at the presentation of the Braille Quran to Muslim Stakeholders at HILAL Islamic Centre Ilorin,
The donor, Senator-Elect for Kwara Central, Mallam Salihu Mustapha, said the idea behind the gesture is to encourage scholarship.
Represented by Yakubu Ishowo, the Philanthropist said that visually impaired students require more attention than other students.
In his address, the former Dean of the Postgraduate School, University of Ilorin, Professor Yusuf Badmas, said the donation would go a long way in assisting the students.
He advised the beneficiaries to ensure judicious use of the Braille Quran.
In her remark, the leader of Muslim stakeholders in Kwara state, Hajiya Jemilat Funmilayo-Gold, said the Braille Quran donated will help the visually impaired students in the state.
