I Killed The Couple And Burnt Their Corpse: Suspect
The suspect, Lekan Adekanbi, a driver to the late Mrs Fatinoye, was identified by the surviving victim as one of the attackers. According to the police, he arranged the killing because the couple refused to increase his salary. As a result, Kehinde Fatinoye and his wife Bukola were murdered in their home on New Year’s day, and their bodies were set ablaze.
The prime suspect Lekan allegedly killed the couple Mr Kehinde and Bukola Fatinoye and their son, Oreoluwa, on New Year’s Day in Abeokuta, Ogun State; he narrated why he committed the offence. It should be noted that the suspect, who has been driving the couple since 2008, reportedly executed the gruesome act with two accomplices identified as Ahmed Odetola, a.k.a. Akamo, and Waheed Adeniyi, a.k.a. Koffi.

While parading the suspects, Adekanbi revealed that he killed the couple because his boss refused to increase his salary and grant him a motorcycle loan.
Further speaking, he said, “Since that failed, I gave the deceased my Access Bank account, to which the sum of N1,102,000 (one million, one hundred and two thousand) was transferred at gunpoint.”
“When I realized that my identity had been known through my bank account, I decided with others to terminate the relationship.” That was when Waheed Adeniyi, a.k.a. Koffi, took a knife from their kitchen and slaughtered the husband, Kehinde Fatinoye, while I used a sledgehammer to hit the wife, Bukola Fatinoye, on the head, and she died on the spot.”

Speaking on how the couple’s son, Oreoluwa, was killed, the suspect said that during the operation, Oreoluwa and the couple’s adopted son, Felix Olorunyomi, entered and were immediately seized and beaten to a pulp. He noted that they tied them up with ropes and threw them into a river at Adigbemotorcycle loan.
