Dear Distinguished Colleagues,

I am pleased to report that we have concluded the 12-Day Criminal Litigation Training Series, which commenced two weeks ago. The series was well attended and, at its peak, had 10,128 participants – the highest number ever in continuing legal education within the N.B.A.

For us at the NBA-ICLE, this is heartwarming because it is not only a vote of confidence in our activities but is also a demonstration of the level of enthusiasm and interest of our members in programmes of this nature which add value to their daily practices.

We are grateful to all the participants and facilitators for their time and dedication and to the President of the N.B.A. for the support afforded the Institute throughout the series.

NBA-ICLE CPD points were awarded for each training day, and certificates were issued to participants by email. Please contact Sarah Omega at sarah.ajijola@nigerianbar.org.ng if you have any complaints regarding the certificates.

Please note that the Digital Transition Training to be facilitated by William Samengo-Turner and Alex Shandro of Allen & Overy will take place on the 5th of June, 2023, at 2:00pm.

Note also that the 5-Day Insolvency Law and Practice training starts on the 8th of June, 2023. The session will be coordinated by Okorie Kalu and Dr Kubi Udofia, with Dr Anthony Idigbe SAN, Dr Tunde Ajibade SAN, Dr Winifred Tarinyeba Kiryabwire, Kabiito Karamagi and Dr Bolanle Ajibola as members of the faculty.
