Kwara State Government Reduces Work Days For Civil Servants.

The Head of Service, Mrs Modupe Oluwole Suzan, said the reduction in working days of civil servants is a temporary measure approved by Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq to ease the burden of public workers following a hike in transportation fares as a result of the removal of oils subsidy by the Federal Government.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Kwara State Head of Service, Murtala Atoyebi.

It directs all Heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the State to immediately work out a format indicating the alternating work days for each worker under them.

The statement, however, warns workers not to abuse the magnanimity of the Governor, stressing that the regular monitoring of MDAs by the office of the Head of Service would be intensified to ensure strict compliance.
