Firefighters Battle Blaze at Plastic Company in Lagos: No Casualties Reported

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is engaged in a fierce firefighting effort to combat a fire outbreak at a prominent plastic company located at Ilupeju bypass in the Mushin area of Lagos State.

The fire, reported to have ignited around 5 a.m. on Saturday, has led to a determined response from the firefighting teams.

According to Margaret Adeseye, the Director of Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, an emergency alert was received at 07:26 a.m., prompting immediate action.
Adeseye stated, “Fire stations in Ilupeju, Bolade, and Alausa have dispatched teams to the scene to conduct firefighting operations. The fire has affected the petrochemical company’s storage and factory sections, but we are actively working to contain it.”
