The New General Officer Commanding One Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Olufemi Akinjobi, has commended his immediate successor for the achievements and successes he recorded during his tour of duty.
He stated this shortly after assuming duty as the fortieth General Officer Commanding the division at a brief ceremony held at the division’s headquarters in Kaduna.
Major General Olufemi Akinjobi, who described the immediate past GOC as a seasoned fighter, pledged to continue to count on his support to consolidate existing successes.
Kaduna: New GOC Assumes Duty
Earlier in his valedictory speech, the outgone GOC, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja, commended officers and troops of the division for working tirelessly to ensure stability in the division’s area of responsibility and urged them to extend such to his successor.
Until he was appointed GOC, Major General Olufemi Akinjobi was the immediate past Chief of Operations at Army headquarters. At the same time, the outgone GOC Major General Lagbaja takes over as Chief of Operations, Army headquarters Abuja.
